I suppose I could call this an engagement shoot but they’re already married!
I’ve photographed this couple and their daughter several times. And I’m happy to say I feel like I’m part of the family now! So when Kevin called me to be a part of another life moment, I was excited! He explained that the first time he proposed to Sabina it didn’t really go as planned. Although it was beautiful and she loved it, he did it after they got off the flight from Reno to Portland Oregon- I guess he couldn’t wait! Looking back, he didn’t think about her not being camera ready, and why would he? He thinks she looks beautiful all the time! It was raining and she had her hair in a hat and no makeup. He asked a stranger to take a photo to preserve the moment, but right as he was getting down on one knee, the guy couldn’t figure out the camera and interrupted the proposal. They laugh about it now and that day will always hold a special place in their hearts.
Kevin is so in love with his wife, I see it every time I am in their presence. He can never stop staring at her, unless of course his daughter is around and then she steels his attention.
He wanted a do-over. Kevin had been saving for their 5 year anniversary, a gift for Sabina- a new ring! He wanted this night to be perfect and it was. He told her that they were having an anniversary shoot at the lake with their favorite photographer, me! She always wanted a Lake Tahoe shoot. She was so excited, she made plans to get her makeup done and find the perfect dress…she was prepared this time but she had no idea what was about to happen! Nice work Kevin!
He just started talking to her, telling her how much he loved her, how beautiful she looked… he waited for my green light which was “this is perfect!”
The rest is history! One of the many blessings in my life is being asked to preserve moments like this! I hope you enjoy the rest of the gallery!
